Why We Measure High School Graduation
Education is the foundation for building a better future for ourselves and contributes to improving overall quality of life in our communities. Education has a beneficial influence on a variety of economic, social and psychological factors which impact the health and well-being of a population.
High educational attainment is associated with the following.

Science Gets Festive
Each year in March, the Biocom's Generation STEAM hosts a week-long San Diego Festival of Science & Engineering at Petco Park with a hands-on, interactive EXPO Day and continues with a week of STEM-based activities held throughout the county. These activities expose children from pre-K through high school to the wonders of science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics (STEAM). It’s this kind of inspiration that can motivate a child to get excited about their education, thus setting them (and future generations and our communities as a whole) on a path to a more enriching life.
